The teeth on the cone are divided into two types: Tungsten carbide insert teeth and steel /Mill teeth. The insert teeth is made by drilling a ring gear on the outer tapered surface of the cone and inserting carbide teeth of different sizes and shapes; the steel teeth are directly milled from the cone cone. The teeth of the three cones on the Tricone Bit mesh with each other, which can effectively and completely break the bottom rock and prevent the mud. The shape, size, number, and length of the teeth depend on the hardness of the formation being drilled. The softer the formation, the larger, sharper, and less placed the teeth. Conversely, the harder the formation, the shorter and more numerous the teeth.
